Nope, sure isn’t. Capitalism is about raising capital. You can start your own business in a capitalist society. Nothing is stopping you, except maybe those stupid bureaucratic city laws that tend to keep people down.
No. You must buy other people’s labor, which they will sell you at the highest possible price, given a competitive market. If those “other people” have valuable and uncommon skills, they will command a higher price. If those “other people” have few skills and must compete with many others to sell their labor, the cost of that labor declines.
no its a system with a stock market that raises capital for Business and these businesses in a perfect world will pay its shareholders profits, but it is like gambling, but if you do some homework and investigate businesses you usually can tell if they are viable
Nobody forced those other people to take the job. Nobody stopped those other people from coming up with an idea, taking a risk & getting a small business loan.
The only people that complain about Capitalism are those who think the world owes them something & they are petty / jealous over others success.
You’re right. I feel so bad I think I’ll just close the doors to my business and put 210 people out of work so Libs don’t think I’m evil.
Then I’ll go find myself a south sea island to sit on and have drinks with little umbrellas in them.
Capitalism no longer exists. It began to die in 1840 when they eliminated debtors prisons, was buried in 1890 when the Sherman Anti-Trust act broke up Standard Oil for its anti-competitive predatory practices, and by the time they outlawed child labor and sweatshops in 1934, nothing but the bones remained.
Our new Mixed Free Market economy combines the best of capitalism with the best of socialism. Business is regulated by government but it is not micromanaged by it. Society shares in the ownership of the means of production through a 35-50% tax on corporate profits, but does not direct it. Needed social programs are financed by our government. The difference between the economic systems of countries such as the USA, Sweden, Red China, or Nigeria are quantitative not qualitative.
No, that’s Communism. Capitalism is all about working for your self, keeping what you earn, and using it as you see fit. In capitalism you HAVE to pay people for their labor because they don’t have to work for you.
Communism and socialism is all about the state stealing the money from people and using it as they see fit, mandating various labors, and non-workers living off workers.
There is nowhere that is a pure society, America has quite a bit of socialist tendencies, and China has quite a bit of Capitalism.
Myth. I own a business and work twice as many hours as my employees. This kind of talk is great for the kids. Keep them motivated!
You are free to choose. Work for someone else or yourself. Why in the world would you support a system where everyone is under the thumb of the government? How exactly is that not Fascism?
no, businesses require good management and innovation to stay profitable, the workers don’t have to think about that, they can get comfortable because they aren’t personally risking their own capital, some people save money their wholes lives to be able to buy a business, and yet they still go bankrupt, their workers however, never having risked anything, simply get jobs elsewhere and go on with life as if nothing happened.
So no, capitalism is not the art of living off other people’s labor.
Do you really think that business owners sit at a desk all day with their feet propped up?
That would be “liberal”
In the mere truth yes… capitalism makes the rich get richer and the poor get poorer…
No only in your twisted hate filled world.
You skipped high school economics class didn’t you?!
Nope, sure isn’t. Capitalism is about raising capital. You can start your own business in a capitalist society. Nothing is stopping you, except maybe those stupid bureaucratic city laws that tend to keep people down.

It’s called the job market.

Labourers are the parasites of Society

No
Pretty much. Marxism is what happens when labor is not properly compensated, like what many laborers in America are currently thinking.

I’m sorry, I think you have capitalism confused with socialism.

“Stealing with the state as your thugs?” — lol no this is far from capitalism…is more like what Liberals practice on a daily basis
Capitalists got the money first by working!
No – it is called ” EARNING ” money which is something Socialists know nothing about
Socialism works fine until you run out of other people’s money
Socialists demand their ” fair share ” of what Capitalists earn but Socialists are seldom willing to do their ” fair share “
As soon as you have the “state as your thugs” in any context in the economy, it ceases to be capitalism by definition.
